Hi Gang, I won't be available for the March meeting, I'm wondering if anyone would be interested in putting the March meeting on.
I have the room at the Judith Umbach Library booked for March 5th.
Cheers !

I recently acquired a MyTec Thunderdrive, a clone of the CMD HD, and according to its previous owner, it would often fail the power on self test. While this is a common symptom of a failing power supply, I also wanted to replace the IBM Ultra320 2.5" SCSI hard drive with a ZuluSCSI SD Card-based SCSI hard drive emulator. And since there is a meeting coming up, what better time to attempt some repairs and upgrade than at our next meeting? So come on out if you'd like to see the inside of a Thunderdrive, learn more about the ZuluSCSI, or just love drinking hot coffee or tea on a cold night with other folk who enjoy Commodore computers in all their 8-bit glory!

Thank you to everyone who came out last night! True to form - the presentation didn't go quite as expected, but I hope everyone got to see something they have never seen before. Rasti brought a beautifully restored PET 2001 computer, and even played a number of games and demos on it. I was able to get the ZuluSCSI installed in the Thunderdrive and low level formatted, but by that time the library staff had notified us that the library was closing shortly so we had to pack up for the night. Gislain - Send me the .stl file(s) of your project and I'll print it for the next meeting. See you next month!
