February has been fantastic thus far, with the arrival of my SX-64 giving the month a significant boost in my personal rankings... I also now have one and a half SFD-1001's working, allowing me to read and archive all my disks written with SFD's and 8250's, which used a different format than the 1541 / 1571 on the same physical disks, and there are several other goodies on their way as we speak. All in all, February is shaping up to be a pretty good month!
Going through my remaining boxes of disks, already I've found several demos I made - including some artwork I drew with my old Koala Pad and a joystick. I've also found several journal / diary entries, drawing my mind back to a simpler time in my life and recalling things I'd long forgotten. I wonder how much other treasure is sitting out there on disks in attics, closets, garages and basements? If you, reading this, have any old floppies kicking around, I'd be more than happy to help you recover the data from them. You never know what you might find!
It was great to see everyone who came to the A&W last night. That was my first A&W meeting and I didn't know what to expect, but I really enjoyed it. And thank you Cheryl for the coffee... That was also appreciated!
Don't forget! If you are ever considering getting rid of any retro stuff - even if it is just a box of tractor-feed paper - call, text, E-Mail or PM me and I will come pick it up from you!
How does the club software library work these days? If I'm looking for a program or a disk, is there an index to browse or who do I ask about looking up some titles?
