Hey Everybody ,
Sorry, the A&W where we planned the meeting is closed for construction, we have moved the meeting to -
McDonald's 6820 4 St NW, Calgary
Not a great place for meeting, I know, but a short notice change.
Thanks, Blaine

Thank you Blaine and Cheryl for hosting the meeting last night (and Blaine for wearing a VIC-20 T-shirt or I might not have intervened at your table!) - it was great to meet you both and I enjoyed getting to hear your stories and some more of the club's history.

I have a warehouse space we can use for our next meeting, I'll post some pics when I am home this evening but I think it'd be perfect for getting together and doing Commodore stuff, and it's fairly easy to get to, roughly 32nd and Deerfoot NE.

Good afternoon everyone,
Here is a picture I took today of the space we can use if we want to for our next meeting. It's at ground level, has a few tables and chairs (I can bring more), a workbench along one of the walls with lights and power outlets every couple of feet, and a washroom. It is between renters at the moment, and the owner has granted [us] permission to use it Tuesday evening if we want. (He might attend himself; he grew up with a Commodore 64 and knew Bill Baird and his filing cabinets full of floppies. )

Looks great to me, this month is the last meeting of the season, so maybe we can end this year with an actual Commodore computer at the meeting !

As it turns out, I have an even better location we can use; our office has just moved from one building to another, and my supervisor has given us permission to use the board room in our old building, since it is practically empty at the moment. This location is on 11th street SE, near Deerfoot Meadows (Ikea, Costco, etc.) It is perhaps a bit more centrally located and has much better tables and chairs, plus nicer washrooms too. If that works for everyone, I'll post the address.

The last meeting of the season means things will wrap up until Sep / Oct?
Are there people interested in other retro computers? I could take along a Spectrum Next including the new version being worked on for KS2 if anyone has an interest? I was hoping to find out if there is anyone local with technical knowledge of Commodore, Atari, TRS-80, etc, hardware and software.
For me personally, Deerfoot Meadows would be much better but whether or not I could make it would depend on the day and time.

AA - I know this is short notice, but the meeting is tomorrow evening (Tuesday, June 7th) at 7:30 pm. It would be great if you can make it.
