Dear Library Member,
The Calgary Public Library is closely monitoring developments related to COVID-19 and following the guidelines from local health authorities. As a precaution to help limit the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) and support the City's efforts to promote social distancing, the Library has decided to cancel all room bookings, for the time being, effective immediately.
At this time, all Calgary Public Library locations remain open during their regular hours. You can learn more about our response to COVID-19 and other changes to service here.
The Library will work closely with local health authorities and the City to determine when services, including room bookings, can return to normal levels.
We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding and support.
If anything changes I'll update this thread.
Unless someone has another/better idea I guess we'll head back to the A&W for the next meeting.
Up and running - VIC 20, C64, C16. Works in progress - Plus/4, C128, Amiga 2000. Looking for - C= Colt/PC compatibles and vintage consumer electronics.
A friend of mine owns a warehouse / office space close to Deerfoot and 32nd Street NE and has offered to let us hold a meeting there if the library / other locations are not available. If there is interest, let me know and I'll provide more details. I've only seen pictures of the place myself so it might be good to arrange a time to go see it and scope the feasibility / logistics involved. He said they have several tables and chairs there and some other furniture.
One way or another I am bound and determined not to miss the next meeting!
