Hi Blaine, thanks for setting up the discussion forum. I joined CCUG a couple years ago but have not been able to make a meeting yet. I don’t live anywhere near the meeting spot and have another activity that is unfortunately Tuesday night. I hope to make it to one before summer.
I have been involved in a bit of commodore stuff this winter. Rebuilt a 8250 disk drive for my PET 2001N. The disk drive looked like it was run over by a truck. Only have drive 0 working so far but that was some work.
Last month I bought two 128s and a 64 for $50. The 64 had a bad ram chip but the 128s just needed a cleaning. None of them came with power supplies so I built a couple out of Digikey parts. I also have about 100 disks of software I was given. So far almost all seem to work, so just going through those and transferring what I can to the SD2IEC.
I will be sure to post some pictures in the Members Gallery when I get a chance and keep an eye on the Website to hear what is new.
I just tried to post some pictures under Members Gallery and the only option seems to be adding a link to the pictures on the Web. I can't actually upload them to the forum, but I can see the option to upload pictures in other sections. Is that the case or do I just not know what I am doing?
Ok, there's an interesting quirk. There doesn't seem to be an option to allow uploads for member galleries. For the moment I'll just turn off the plugin for member galleries and treat them as normal forums for now.
Hmmm, off to do more reading .......
