As I am setting up my CBM machines now, I'm thinking I'll do a little modernizing to avoid using floppies. The slickest way appears be to use SD card storage, but there is more than one way to go. SD2IEC appears to be the simplest and cheapest. It doesn't however, have 1541 emulation routines for fussy software. There are devices that do 1541 emulation, like the Pi-1541 or the Ultimate-II+ cartridge. They are more expensive, but more compatible. Yet another option is to put a SCSI2SD adapter in my CMD hard drive. Anyone have experience and/or thoughts on this?

To me the best solution is the BackBit cartridge by Evie Salomon: www.backbit.ioBut I don't have one yet

I ordered one of the standard SD2IEC. Will see how compatible it is when I get it...
