A nice bright Saturday morning ! Who wouldn't want to be outside sanding and priming and painting ! OK, maybe not you, but I've been waiting for the chance to get this done for a while. So after a few hours of sanding, wet sanding, priming and wet sanding again, a first coat is on a couple of ongoing projects. I'll give that a little time to dry and get a couple more coats on and hopefully they'll be looking good.

After a day of painting and little re assembly, one more radio is almost ready to show off. I need to order a RCA Victor logo decal and find a 1 inch diameter circle sticker for the dial knob, but I'll get those ordered up soon. Looks like the speaker turned out pretty good as well, I have to give it a closer look to be sure. It appears to have been a successful day, got a few jobs done that I have been wanting to get done.

In case anyone is wondering, that radio is a 1954, RCA Victor X-510 AM radio, built in Toronto. Here is a picture of it before I started the restore. It was in pretty good shape, but the paint was badly damaged. Originally I had planned to paint it a dark brown, but I didn't find a paint that looked right ( to me ) so I went with the red. Looks good to me !
