1952 RCA 2-ES-38, 4 speed automatic record changer.
This is a work in progress, it was a complete basket case when I got it. The amplifier is now rebuilt and working and most of the mechanism has been cleaned and lubed. I still need to do more work to mechanism, the part that determines the size of the next record on the changer isn't working right yet. It also needs the cartridge and needle changed.
The outside is pretty rough as well, not sure what I'm going to do about it yet. I've never had to repair/replace fake leather before.
Up and running - VIC 20, C64, C16. Works in progress - Plus/4, C128, Amiga 2000. Looking for - C= Colt/PC compatibles and vintage consumer electronics.
The gold painted fan arrived in a box of broken pieces. The shipper packed it well, but I think maybe the courier tossed it out of the plane as it flew over my house. Originally it was a bland beige colour. It has no markings of any kind to indicate a brand of date of manufacture. I'm guessing mid 1960's, modern plastic body but a cage that lets fingers in ! After gluing the puzzle of pieces together, lots of polishing and servicing the motor, I thought the gold might look good.
I think it looks good.
The other fan was made by Dominion Electric company and dates from 1951. I will be restoring this fan, no custom paint !
