Thanks to the heroic efforts of our member KnightFire, I am now the proud owner of an Amiga 2000 !
It's a fixer upper, but that's the way I like them.
There is an accelerator installed and a SCSI hard drive, but no controller for the hard drive.
After a little poking around, I decided to be brave and see if it would pass a smoke test ... it passed !
The hard drive sounds like it's not long for this world, but otherwise, as far as I can test right now, it looks like all systems are a go !
There's a crusty battery that needs to be dealt with ASAP, but looks like no real damage done yet.
Now the hunt begins, I'll have to root through my boxes of goodies to see if I have any Amiga bits tucked away. I'll need find a keyboard or adapter as well. I've seen a few adapters out there on the internet, but hopefully something local will popup.
I've had several Amiga computers come and go over the years, but I'm a little excited about getting this one up and running. It's been a while since my last game of Lemmings !
